The
Farsons Beer Quality Club has been setup with the objective
of improving the quality of dispensed beer and enhancing
the beer culture in Malta. The Club carries out various
activities amongst its members, which are now growing
in number. These activities are mainly based on providing
training, maintaining quality standards and serving
procedures.
Once a year the Club gathers a number of bartenders
from various outlets around the island and provides
an intensive training course in various aspects of the
beer business, which include; beer culture, serving
methods, dispense machinery maintenance and the beverage
market including marketing activities.
Following
the training course, all attending bars become eligible
for membership in the Club. The bartenders and owners
of each outlet are asked to exercise all they have learnt
when behind the bar. Amongst these requirements, are
simple criteria such as pouring the beer in the right
glass, maintaining the dispense system clean to ensure
excellent flavour, colour and temperature, ensuring
the right pouring methods for each brew and many other
little things which together make up a Perfect Pint.
The
Club also features a number of 'mystery shoppers'- these
are people who regularly visit the Club's members to
ensure quality standards are being maintained, and hence
the outlet maintains membership. Together we share information
and views and continuously improve our service in the
interest of our consumers.
You
can identify an official member by the door sticker
showing The Farsons Beer Quality Club logo and a certificate
at the bar. For further information, click on the Members'
Section to view a list.
All
members are as proud of the Club as we are; together
we ensure that the beer culture on the Maltese islands
will continue to grow in the right direction.
